How to charge drone batteries?

At present, the drone batteries on the market mainly use polymer lithium batteries. Compared with other batteries, drone batteries have large capacity, high rate, and strong explosive power, which greatly improves the endurance and flight speed of drones. Due to the characteristics of drone batteries and the fact that drone batteries are usually formed by series and parallel connection of lithium battery packs, drone battery charging requires a charger with a complete charging management circuit to complete. Generally, a charger with balanced charging function is selected. The following introduces some basic knowledge of drone battery chargers.


Input voltage: This is what voltage the charger needs to use to work.


Charging current: The charging current value that the charger can set. The smaller the value, the smaller the current during charging, and the larger the value, the greater the current the charger will charge. The smaller the current, the slower the charging, and the larger the current, the faster the charging.


Charging power: The charging power is how much power this charger can use to charge, for example, this model is 50W.


Discharge current: It is the discharge current value that the charger can set. In theory, the larger the discharge current, the faster the discharge speed. However, due to the limited discharge power, it may not be possible to discharge with the set current.


Discharge power: The same concept as charging power, but since the discharge power uses resistance to generate heat and consume electricity, the discharge power is generally small. If it is too large, the general charger cannot withstand the heat. Some chargers have a discharge power of 50W or so, and there will be matching fans to assist in heat dissipation.


When charging with a series charger, the lithium battery balance current is used to transfer electricity from the high voltage to the low voltage between the cells to achieve the purpose of balancing the voltage, and the power transmission is achieved in the form of current. The larger the balance current, the faster the balance speed. Otherwise, it will be slower.
