Due to the harsh operating environment of plant protection drones and the "delicate" nature of the plant protection drone batteries, the plant protection drone lithium batteries fail after a short period of use, thus increasing the cost of plant protection operations. So how can the plant protection drone batteries be maintained to be better? Let's discuss the following aspects:
1.Charging:
A.Charge with 1C small current, that is, charging at a coefficient of 1 times the capacity. For example, the battery capacity of the plant protection machine is 16000mah, that is, charging with 16A current.
B、Perform a balance charge with a smaller current (2A) once a week to ensure that the battery consistency is always in a relatively good state. Of course, with such a small current, the charging time must be quite long.
C、When charging, make sure that the battery itself is at room temperature and charge in a cool place. Batteries that have just been removed from the plane must be cooled down before charging.
2.Discharge:
The drone alarm voltage should not be set too low, and the recommended single unit is3.7V. 6S is 22.2V12S is 44.4V.
3. Storage:
A. The storage voltage is half-charged, that is, the single cell is within 3.8V-3.95V.
B、Storage environment: indoor temperature, it is recommended to put it in an iron box, which is safer.
C、For drone batteries that have not been used for a long time, please charge and discharge them once within 3 months. The smart battery should be charged and discharged once every 2 months.
4.Hand and place
Try to handle and place gently. This can prevent the battery from being deformed or even catching fire due to impact. Also, hold the battery cable to handle the battery.
The above maintenance measures can greatly increase the battery life of the agricultural drone, thereby reducing operating costs. I also hope that it can help agricultural users.
